I strongly recommend that you take a look at the people who are driving the hybrids. I can see a continuous trend of douchebags that whine and complain about gas prices and the environment.
For example — the notorious Al Gore III. He’s one of the many douchebags that is easy to refer to on the internet.

im fed up with hybid cars and the ill informed people that buy them. Over it’s life time a prius pollutes more than a range rover or other big 4×4, thats because it has an electric motor and a battery. Therefore a lot more gases or generated and realeased in to the atomosphere. Then when the car is scrapped you have the problem of getteing rid of an electric motor and a highly toxic battery, Plus Co2 doesnt cause climate change anyway!

These Hybrid manufacturers are becoming so cynical that the word HYBRID can mean a car that for one second and one second only gets a kick up the butt from a motor and a battery. Even using the starter motor in the cynical sense can mean the car is a HYBRID
